4Days Gorilla Habituation Experience Tour

4Days Gorilla Habituation Experience Tour

Uganda has lots of mountain gorillas. They are special because there aren’t many of them left in the world. If you want to see them, Uganda is a great place to go. When you go gorilla trekking in Uganda, you get to spend time with these amazing animals in their home. You can hang out with them for about an hour. But it’s not like you can just walk up to them whenever you want. It takes a while for gorillas to get used to people being around them. This process can take anywhere from 2 to 5 years. But it’s important because it helps researchers take care of the gorillas and make sure they’re safe.

If you want to be more involved in helping gorillas, there’s something called a habituation trek. During this trek, you spend up to 4 hours with the gorillas. It’s a special experience because you get to see how smart and emotional gorillas are.

Being around gorillas is a really amazing experience. And the habituation process is really important for keeping gorillas safe.

To hang out with semi-tamed gorillas in Uganda, it costs $1500 per person for one visit. During this time, you get to chill with the gorillas for about 4 hours. The permit covers stuff like getting into the park, having guides to show you around, and fees for conservation. But it doesn’t cover extra things like food or lodging. So, if you’re planning to meet these awesome animals, make sure to grab one of these permits. They make sure you have a great time while also helping take care of the gorillas and their home.

Day 1 Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will get picked up by our safari guide either from a guest house or lodge in Entebbe or Kampala if you arrive a day before, or from Entebbe International Airport if you arrive very early in the morning. Then, you’ll drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Southwestern Uganda. That’s where you’ll spend two nights.

The journey takes about 8-9 hours, but it’s enjoyable because you’ll see different towns and communities along the way. You’ll drive through beautiful hills in the Kigezi region. You’ll also stop at the equator for photos and to experience being at that special line. After that, you’ll have lunch in Mbarara before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the night.

Day 2 First Gorilla Habituation Experience

After an early breakfast, you’ll go to the Park headquarters for registration and a briefing on gorilla habituation. They’ll tell you what you should and shouldn’t do during your Uganda Gorilla habituation Tour. Then, you’ll trek through the rainforest of Bwindi with your ranger guides to find the Gorillas. The trek might take half an hour to most of the day.

During the trek, you might see other animals and trees, and your guide will share interesting information to make the trek more fun. Seeing these special creatures up close is an amazing experience. You’ll get a certificate for taking part in the gorilla trekking, which means you’ve helped conserve mountain gorillas.

Day 3 Second Gorilla Habituation Experience

Start your day with a yummy breakfast and get ready for another adventure! You’ll join other nature lovers at the Park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla habituation. Then, you’ll trek through the rainforest of Bwindi to find the majestic mountain gorillas.

Your ranger guide will show you different birds and trees along the way, making the trek more enjoyable and educational. The trek can take half an hour to most of the day, but seeing these special animals in their home is worth every moment.

By doing gorilla trekking, you’ll have a memorable experience and help save these amazing animals. When you finish the trek, you’ll get a certificate to remember your experience.

Day 4 Drive Back To Entebbe

After breakfast, you’ll be driven back to either Kampala or Entebbe for your post-tour stay. Or you might choose to fly out of Uganda today. The route back will be the same as the one you took during your Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour.

You’ll have breakfast and lunch included, but dinner is not. You’ll also have drinking water, but other drinks aren’t included. This marks the end of your tour. If you need extra accommodation or help getting to the airport, we can arrange it for an extra cost
