16 Days Wildlife and Primate Encounter Safari In Uganda.

This tour safari is designed to take you to discover the wonders of nature and primates in Uganda’s tourist destination and this tour covers seven of the ten national parks in Uganda and they include KIDEPO NATIONAL PARK is located in north eastern part of Uganda in kaabong district. The park is 1442km. It is the only national park with cheetah, ostriches and black backed jackal and it is a birder’s paradise and can be done on the fringes of the narus and namamukweng valley. It has a profusion of big game and hosts over 77mammal species as well as 475bird species. It has a true wildness feel and it is a great destination for the adventurous travelers. It has excellent wildlife viewing during the dry season. Animals include leopards, lions, elephants, buffaloes and many others.

MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK is located in north western part of Uganda in Masindi district. It lies in the north end of the Albert rift valley.it is the largest conservation area hosting 76 species of mammals and 451bird species. It offers breath taking scenery of the palm dotted hills, swamp, riverine wood land and forest.it has the East Africa’s most dramatic waterfalls and diversity of wildlife on land and in the Victoria nile.it is part of the greater Murchison fall conservation. Animal include lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants.

KIBALE NATIONAL PARK is located in western part of Uganda in kibale district. It is one of the loviest and most varied of track of the tropical forest in Uganda. It is a home of a total of 70mammal species, most famously for 13 species of primate including the chimpanzee and it contains over 375bird species. It is the best place for Chimpanzee. QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK the park was initially known as kazinga national park. It is located in western part of Uganda in kasese district. It is famous for its volcanic features and very many crater lakes such as Lake Katwe from which salt is extracted. It is popular for its savannah reserve and has widest variety of wildlife. Animals include lions, water buck, warthogs, elephants, kobs, buffaloes and leopards. BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK is located in south western part of Uganda in kanungu district. It is mist covered hillside. The park is a sanctuary for colobus monkeys, chimpanzee and many birds like horn bills and turacos. It is the most notable for the 400gorillas half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorilla and it covers part of rukungiri, Kisoro, and Kabale district. LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK is located in kiruhura district in the western part of Uganda. It is the only park in Uganda with Eland, impala and klips pringer. It inhabits the world’s tallest living mammals which are giraffes and other animals are zebra, water buck, leopards, hippos, hyena and warthogs. LAKE BUNYONYI NATIOANAL PARK is located in south western part of Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale district. It is Uganda’s deepest lake with a varying depth between 44m and 900m and it is the second deepest lake in Africa lying on an altitude of a boat 1962 above sea level. The name Bunyonyi means place of many little birds.  It is commonly known for its fresh water

Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo national park.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Kidepo national park which is approximately 13hours driving. You will participate in a game drive while in the way and you will be able to observe some of the animals like buffaloes, kobs, Zebras and many other animals if nature allows. Dinner and overnight at Ngamoru wilderness camp.

Day 2: Game Drive and Nature Walk

After breakfast, you will go for the morning game drive and you will be able to spot cheetahs, lions, buffaloes, lions, black backed jackal, elephants, zebras, bush baby, if nature allows and after return to the hotels for refreshment and lunch and in the evening you visit the Karamojong people. They have a unique dressing code with stripped fabries, traditional tools like knives, arrows, bows and stools. Dinner and overnight Ngamoru wilderness camp.

Day 3: Cultural Encounter

After breakfast you will go to lorokal cultural group. They are cattle herding Karamojong and you will discover their unique culture of the remote tribe. Dinner and overnight Ngamoru wilderness camp.

Day 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you will embark on your journey to Murchison falls national park which is approximately 7-8hours driving. you go to the magnificent falls Murchison falls. You will visit the famous falls and you will have incredible experience. You will enjoy listening to the sound of the flowing water. Dinner and overnight at pakuba safari lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

After breakfast, you will go for the morning game drive which is approximately 2-3hours.you will be able to observe lions, leopards, warthogs, elephants, buffaloes, water buck if nature allows. Return to the lodge for refreshment and lunch. After you will go for the afternoon boat cruise on the Albert Nile which will give you exciting panoramic views at the bottom of the mighty falls. You will be given an opportunity to observe crocodiles, hippos and birds on the river bank like king fisher, Cormorant, bee carter and shoe bills. Dinner and overnight at Pakuba safari lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will transfer to kibale national park which is approximately 10hours driving. You will have your lunch in Fort portal town and enjoy a tour of the surrounding as you visit the crater lakes and the Tooro king’s palace. Proceed to kibale national park arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at kibale forest camp

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

After breakfast, you will go and attend the briefing by the park ranger after you will set out for chimpanzee trekking within the kibale forest with packed food and water. You will get a lot of information about the different flora and fauna. Return to the lodge for refreshment after go for the nature walk in bigodi swamp in search for bird species after return to the lodge for dinner and overnight kibale forest camp.

Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park which is approximately 4-5hours driving. With lunch en-route, you will visit the exploration crater lakes and go for a game drive in the northern crater areas where there is a lot of dark holes, you will be given an opportunity to observe some of the animals like warthogs, buffaloes, baboons and many others if nature allows. Dinner and overnight at Lake munyanyange cave lodge.

Day 9: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

After breakfast. You will go for the morning game drive in kasenyi area here you will be given an opportunity to observe elephants, buffaloes, climbing lions, leopards, water buck, warthogs and many others if nature allows. Return to the lodge for refreshment and lunch, after go for the afternoon boat cruise at kazinga channel famous for its highest hippopotamus. You will also spot buffaloes and elephants, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight lake munyanyange cave lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park with a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park. Here you will be given an opportunity to spot animals like water buck, buffaloes, and tree climbing lions, leopards, and warthogs if nature allows and then you will transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Dinner and overnight at gorilla valley lodge.

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking

After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarter for briefing with your packed lunch and later go for the gorilla trekking. This could take 4-8hours depending on the location of the gorilla. Dinner and overnight at gorilla valley lodge.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi National Park and Community Walk

After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi national park for life experience and in the evening you will go for a community walk. You will visit the Abaheesi and the Batwa communities interact with them. You will have a good experience with local people. Dinner and overnight at Bird nest lodge

Day 13: Boat Cruise and Swimming

After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive on the lake and you will get a chance to view bird species, beautiful land scape and some of the 29 island. Return to the lodge for refreshment and lunch and in the evening you will relax as you enjoy the swimming. Dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you will transfer to lake mburo national park which is approximately 5hours driving across the rolling hills and slopes of kabale. You will enter the park with a game drive en-route which will enable you to observe some of the animals like impala, zebra, and other animals if nature allows. Dinner and overnight at mihingo lodge.

Day 15: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in search for Impala, Elands, Zebra, Warthogs, Buffaloes and beautiful birds. You will also stand a chance to view beautiful land scapes. Return to the lodge for lunch and refreshment and after you will go for the afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. You will be given an opportunity to observe crocodiles, hippos, water birds like African fish eagle, king fisher. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at mburo safari lodge.

Day 16: Return Back to Kampala

After breakfast, you will embark on your journey back to Kampala with en- route lunch in mbarara town then proceed to Kampala.
