This tour starts from the nearest International Airport to the trailhead in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable forest, making the journey less odious. From Bwindi Forest after the gorilla tracking experience in the misty jungles, we take you to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi (the Switzerland of Africa) to relax and later visit the genocide memorial in Kigali to seal the trip.

You’ll be collected from the airport.

Day 1:Arrival in Kigali — Transfer to Bwindi Forest National park

This day starts with your African safari driver guide picking you up from Kigali International airport and embarking on an exciting road drive to the extreme south western Uganda. A stopover for lunch will be made en route. The dense rain forest of Bwindi, famous for its gorilla population, is one of the most fertile and rich in the world, being home to a variety of primates, animals, insects and exotic birds. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge for relaxation.
Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Mist camp amidst the forests and verdant hills of Bwindi.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, depart for the gorilla trekking briefing point. This gorilla walk can take up to six hours, so a reasonable degree of fitness and a strong pair of walking shoes are required. The location of the Gorillas is unpredictable thus packed lunch is recommended for this adventure. After tracking, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing evening. You can have an optional canoe ride or swimming in the Bihazia free lake.

Day 3: Transfer from Bunyonyi to Kigali

On this day, you will check out of the resort and embark on a border crossing journey from Western Uganda to Kigali city. Depending on your scheduled flight time, you may have lunch with us (There is also a possibility of an optional Kigali city tour to the Genocide museum) and later transfer to Kigali international airport, to readily catch your flight back home.
